About this installation:

Spaceshifts, a collaborative installation by the University of North Florida's Enlivened Spaces students, examines the many environments and materials that construct our world. Your journey begins at the ocean floor, drawing you up through outer space and into the infinite realm of imagination. Along the way, you are faced with the conflicts that may arise within the environments: deep sea, coral reef, swamp, forest, city, mountains, sky, deep space, and other world. Transition from day to night is emphasized with lighting concepts and vibrant colors, and before you is a fragment of life-- in all its beauty and chaos.

Curating Team

  • Jenny Hager (University of North Florida Fine Art)
  • Joy Leverette (The Looking Lab)
  • Mark Creegan (FSCJ Fine Art)
  • Lana Heylock (Jacksonville University Dance)
